Organizations Alive!™,
Jan Yuill's creation, is an elegant, complex and
accessible model for looking at the inner workings of organizations and
the alignment, or lack thereof, with the organization's raison d'ętre,
its processes for managing resources, client service orientation and
strategies for employee engagement.
As a diagnostic for organizational well-being and for opportunities to
improve, the model provides a number of perspectives to look at how
structures facilitate and support the organization and the people in
it, or clues to how the structures create non-productive tension. When
I first saw the model, I was taken by how useful it might be in real
time assessment, case studies and action learning.
Jan brings a curiosity and a wealth of experience from the practice of
organization development (Pepperdine grad) in private and public
sectors and the depth of her knowledge of MBTI type.
I met Jan Yuill through Ottawa's Organization Development Network and
attended the training for Organizations Alive! It is great value. In
the unlikely event that it is not obvious, I want to promote her work!
